The International Astronautical Federation is a federation of members which are typically space agencies, companies and other entities in the space sector.

The governing body of the International Astronautical Federation is the General Assembly. The General Assembly meets once a year during the International Astronautical Congress and consists of one representative per IAF member. The meeting follows an agenda set by the Bureau. About 30% of the IAF Budget is derived from the annual membership dues.

The Constitution is the reference document for the functioning of the International Astronautical Federation.
