Nano/pico satellites including CubeSats have been providing excellent space education material to the university level students. It gives students an experience of whole life cycle of space project within a short period of time, hands-on training for satellite design and integration, and a practical training for project management or team working. Many universities in the world gain technologies and know-how through their projects, which contribute much to the human resource training and satellite technology developments. Recently, even venture companies are emerging from the process. On the other hand, each country has its own problems and limitations in pursuing these activities, such as funding problems, teaching staff deficiency, balancing between research and hands-on activities, difficulty finding good parts and equipment, launcher cost and availability, etc. In this panel discussion, panelists from varied countries present and discuss their own experience, problems and their strategy to solve them. This will be shared among them and with the audience. If international cooperation which could help solve issues, then they will be identified. The implementation of these actions will be discussed.
